Take a scroll through small-town America:

On Friday, Megan Bowers and I interviewed the lovely couple, Bill and Reba Bolt. The Coalwood residents talked about raising their family in McDowell County and how sad they were to see the “October Sky” festival be moved to Beckley. The Bolts were part of the organizing committee that held the festival, but couldn’t find volunteers and young people to help them continue the tradition. Bill Bolt was a machinist for the Olga Coal Company and helped Homer Hickam build his rockets.
